Mens Online Styling

Mens Online Styling is about getting the right look for work and leisure conveniently from your home.

An online Colour and Style Analysis will advise how to select the colours and shapes which will flatter you most. You will also find out how to put a good look together using the right accessories, how to recognise a good quality garment and a good fit. We will go through how to build a wardrobe to suit your needs and your budget and how to ensure you select the right clothes for the occasion whether corporate or social.

Online Colour Analysis

The starting point for a Mens online Styling Session is colour; Online Colour Analysis will find out what your colour pattern is. The online process involves using online colour profiles to highlight the strengths of the undertone, depth and clarity of your colouring. We can wear most colours; it is the qualities or the characteristics of a colour which matter. Each individual’s colour characteristics are determined by the pigments in their skin, eyes and hair.

The Colour Analysis method used is the tonal method which looks at whether you suit Deep or Light colours, Cool or Warm and Bright or Muted. I look at which is the strongest out of these, you will find out what your best colours are, including neutrals, core colours and pastels.

We start the process by sending you a questionnaire for you to complete which is about your colouring details and about your wardrobe. We need 3 to 4 photographs, head and shoulders and preferably in natural light so that we can pick up your natural colouring and eye colour. You will receive PDF’s of your colour profiles to use on a tablet or smart phone and a PDF explaining Colour Analysis and what your profile is. Mini colour cards with these profiles are also sent out to all customers. There is a small postal charge for overseas customers.

Colour Analysis can be done entirely by email or can also include a Zoom or FaceTime meeting to cover more detail and to allow us to look at any items from your wardrobe. Personalised fabric swatches in leather wallets are also available.

Online Style Analysis

The next part is the Style Analysis which starts with the individual’s Style Personality and lifestyle and an overview of objectives. This follows with a bodyline review which involves some fact finding to establish what you like and dislike about body your structure. This will establish what will work well for you in terms of accentuating your good points. I then advise you about the most suitable styles, including the best shapes, lengths, cuts and fabrics.

We start the process by sending you a questionnaire to complete which forms the foundation of the Style Session. We need full length photographs of you in your regular clothing and a head and shoulders shot to identify your face shape. A few measurements are also required, these along with the photographs and the information will identify your style personality and body shape. I will send a link to some Pinterest boards with different styles on which also helps with the analysis.

You will then receive a style record giving you your ideal styles for each different garment type in PDF format to view on a tablet or smart phone. Style Analysis can be done entirely online or can also include a Zoom or FaceTime meeting to cover more detail and to allow us to look at any items from your wardrobe.

Wardrobe Detox

You may choose to have and Online Wardrobe Detox via Zoom or FaceTime. We assess your garments to see what works for your colouring, shape and lifestyle and also what doesn’t. It is worth clearing out items which don’t work for you to Ebay or the local charity shop. This will allow you to see the clothes you have better and create outfits out of what you already have, making the most of your wardrobe. We then look at any gaps and create a shopping list of items which will make your wardrobe work harder for you.

You can then follow your colour and style advice and shop online or go shopping or book an Online Personal Shopping Session. Once you know what colours work for you and what styles suit your shape, style personality and lifestyle things become a lot easier.

Personal Shopping.

We conduct the Personal Shopping Session partly via Zoom or FaceTime and by using Pinterest Boards. It is ideal if you have had a Colours Analysis and a Style Analysis with me before having a Personal Shopping Session. Depending on what you have in your wardrobe it maybe beneficial to have a Wardrobe Detox, though it is not essential.

If you prefer to go straight to shopping I start by covering your colouring and style as this is the foundation of the session. Before the process starts I send you a questionnaire to fill in and ask you to send a selection of photographs; a couple of head and shoulders shots, preferably in natural light showing your eye colour and also some full length ones wearing your regular clothing. Following on from this we then have an online meeting to cover your colouring, style and style personality and clarify what you require from your personal shopping session, including sizing, where you normally shop and budget details.

I then research online shops following your brief and create Pinterest boards for you to view, this forms suggestions for you to consider purchasing. I show more options than you require to give you breadth of choice. We liaise over the selection, make any changes and then I also ask for feedback once you have your new garments and outfits. There is also an option to have a further online meeting should you want advice and help once your orders arrive.

I’m now loving shopping…there is loads out there; I guess I wasn’t looking in the right way before. A whole new world has opened up. Thank you. Gavin, Musician, Cambridge.

I initially spoke to Catherine at All About Style many months ago and was looking to plan a time to do a personal shop in person. Due to Covid restrictions this was impossible to do.
Catherine adapted her business model almost overnight. We arranged a Zoom styling session and a personalised Pinterest board, which she took me through again via Zoom. I found Catherine to have a natural way of getting to what my personal style was. Something I had never really thought much about. Catherine was very flexible, working to my preferences, availability and price point. She was also able to encourage me to try colours I had never really thought about. The personalised colour swatches sent in the post is a nice touch and gives me something to reference when I go out and buy any new clothes. This helps to dramatically reduce my confusion when shopping and makes the whole experience more enjoyable. Something I never thought I’d hear myself say.

I can whole heartily recommend Catherine and All About Style as a men’s stylist and will no doubt be going back soon. Anthony, Bury St Edmonds

I think for the first time I ‘enjoyed’ shopping for clothes, not only that, they look OK on and I’ve gone down a size without going on a diet. I’ve cracked it! Martin, Leicestershire.
